European Brass Band Championships 2008
Stavanger, April 27th – May 4th
• The Stavanger region is European Capital of Culture in 2008. Stavanger2008 will be Norway’s largest cultural event, and EBBC 2008 is part of this effort.
• This is the 31st European Brass Band Championships, and the fourth time it is being held in Norway. Last time was in Bergen in 2003.
• This is only the fourth European Conductors Competition. Christian Radner from Austria won the Competition in 2005.
• Fifteen of the best brass bands in Europe will compete in two sections. See further info on the bands below.
• The test pieces Brass Blot and Cornucopia are especially written for the EBBC by Håkon Berge and Craig Farr.
• The European Brass Band Association is responsible for the EBBC. This year’s EBBC is presented by the Norwegian Band Federation (NMF) is the organizing body for this year’s EBBC.

Guidelines press:
Photo:
- No photos before bands enter the stage.
- No use of flashlights allowed during the competition. However, you are allowed to use flashlights at the Gala Concerts.
- No photographers on stage during performances.
- Feel free to photograph the bands after their performances.
Video:
- No filming allowed.

Sound:
- No recording allowed.
