On February 5th and 6th the Norwegian Band Federation (NBF) wishes all brass enthusiasts a warm welcome to Grieghallen and the Norwegian National Brassband Championships. Last years record of participating bands has been beaten - a total of 76 bands will attend the competition in 2010!

Innovations
This year The Norwegian Band Federation also offers an Open Class for the first time. None of the otherwise strickt competition rules applies in this class, and the only requirement is that participants are members of the NBF. Another interesting novelty is that the black box with the adjudicators will be gone when the elite-bands enters the stage, both for the test piece and the own-choice piece! This kind of open contest will certainly bring a new kind of excitement in the main concert hall.

A social happening
The Championships is quite a social event, set in Grieghallen in the center of Bergen, with almost 2 000 brass music enthusiasts coming together. In the upper lobby area you will find a great mingling area with trade stands as well as a café serving refreshments at all hours. The scene is set for a lively weekend, and you dont want to miss many hours of quality brass music, meeting old friends and new, and experience pure musical joy - all in a comfortable atmosphere in beautiful Bergen.

It is now possible to reserve tickets that can be picked up at the ticket counter. You may pay your tickets when picking them up.
